100th Episode Celebration! - The Coffee with Rhonda Show
Thursday Oct 12, 2023
Thursday Oct 12, 2023
"You Can't See Around Corners." - Rhonda Y. Williams
This phrase has become a central part of my life and coaching as I remind myself and my clients that regardless of where we are, love it, or hate it, we cannot truly see what is coming next.
We can hope, we can believe, we can worry, we can anticipate... but we never really know.
In July of 2019, I put a call out a call to action on Facebook.
"Hey, anyone want to join me for a roundtable conversation? We will do about six episodes where leaders and coaches come together and just have a conversation over coffee. We'll call it Coffee with Rhonda. My two super-caffeinated co-hosts answered that call!
Well, here we are, nearly 4 years and 100 episodes later, celebrating something that I never could have imagined. Having a successful, well-regarding leadership live stream show.
I'm humbled and eternally grateful to every one of you who has listened to one, two, or 20 episodes! You energize us and you inspire us.
Join us for the celebration as we look back over the years and episodes to learn and laugh (those first episodes are hilarious to look at now đ).
If you have been watching the show for a while and want to pop on-screen to say congratulations, we'll see if we can get you in for a 3-minute segment! Message me.
In the meantime, please mark your calendars to tune in for an extended celebration edition of The Coffee with Rhonda Show.
I'll have a special guest join us and you may just get a numerology reading! We'll choose a lucky couple of people for this.
See you tomorrow!

Inclusive Cultures: The Business Case - Epi 99
Tuesday Oct 10, 2023
Tuesday Oct 10, 2023
This week one of my posts went viral.
In the post, I shared my frustration with women continuously being âcast/writtenâ as damsels in distress who cannot handle their business without mini breakdowns along the way.
As exciting as it is for a post to garner so much attention, it speaks to a larger issue that so clearly resonates with many in todayâs workplace.
Having diversity doesnât equate to representation or inclusion and it certainly doesnât always lead to belonging. Itâs not enough to be invited to a dance where you hate the music đź. Itâs time to change the DJ to one who is open to requests.
We still have a very long way to go in this area and the fact that DEI initiatives are receiving pushback and lackluster support is quite frankly frustrating.
But this is no time to throw up our hands. This is a time to 1) raise awareness, 2) understand the challenges in front of us, 3) call out hypocrisy and 4) elevate the business case.
Thatâs exactly what we are doing this week on The Coffee with Rhonda Show as we welcome Inclusive Cultures Expert, Simi Rayat. Weâll take a deeper look at inclusive cultures and why it benefits organizations to commit to creating Modern Magnetic Cultures where inclusion and belonging are strategic initiatives and wellbeing for leaders is a priority.
Will you join us for this discussion? Iâd love to include your thoughts live during the show. Whatâs in your cup?

Change Your Brain, Change Your Life - Epi. 96
Thursday Oct 05, 2023
Thursday Oct 05, 2023
Are you stuck?
The brain's resistance, also known as the "comfort zone," refers to the natural tendency of the brain to seek familiar, safe, and easy situations while avoiding new challenges or experiences that may be uncomfortable or stressful. While this instinct can serve a protective function, it can also limit personal growth, learning, and achievement.
A moment of reflection...
What one area are you resisting?
⢠Switching jobs?
⢠Ending a relationship?
⢠Changing behavior?
⢠Stopping the need to please?
⢠Going after big dreams?
Overcoming the brain's resistance is important to achieving greater success, expanding your skill set, developing confidence, and growing as an individual and professional.
This week on The Coffee with Rhonda Show, we welcome Dr. Haley Nelson joins us to talk more about the neuroscience of change. Mireille Toulekima, Roz Jones, and I look forward to diving into this one.

Gaining Inner Peace from Workplace Stress Through Mindfulness - Epi 92
Friday Sep 29, 2023
Friday Sep 29, 2023
I canât help it. My job is just stressful.
Did you know in a recent survey, 80% of employees reported feeling stressed at work sometimes and 60% of absenteeism was associated with stress in some ways (according to that survey)? Workplace stress is an epidemic that costs companies an estimated $300 Billion annually in the US alone.
Are we simply destined to deal with negative stress at work, or is there something we can do? Can we find calm without ourselves, even in chaotic situations?
Iâm interested in breaking this all down with this weekâs special guest Nicholas Clay. Join us for this weekâs discussion on The Coffee with Rhonda Show.
Our super caffeinated co-hosts are here for it! Whatâs in your cup?
About Nicholas Nicholas C Clay began studying mindfulness and its benefits in 2018. With its practice, he has gained a calm mind and inner peace from a mind that used to think obsessively.
He has healed hurtful triggers and released stored negative energy that used to cause uncomfortable lows. In October 2020, Nicholas acquired his first two coaching clients and began to test the tools and understanding of mindfulness he used to heal his mind with others. In the time since, his coaching practice has continued to grow, and the results with his clients have included the relief of anxiety, overthinking, and an increase in clear mental focus.
Nicholas's goal is to continue growing his practice and skillset as he strives to work with high performers such as CEOs, Athletes, Musical Artists, and other individuals who strive to get the most out of their minds.
