5 Steps to Building a Culture of Kindness
Wednesday Sep 27, 2023
Wednesday Sep 27, 2023
I know we want to believe kindness is easy. Yet, that’s not my experience. We are surrounded by busyness and judgment. It’s how the world operates.
While kindness may be an authentic place inside of us, I believe it gets hindered by our conditioning and everything happening around us. Do you agree?
This week, I’m excited to welcome special guest Randy McNeely. Join us for a conversation on creating a culture of kindness that extends kindness to yourself and everyone around you. Randy will share his 5-step formula with us.
We’re back for Season 8! Roz Jones, Mireille Toulekima, and I are ready to start the new season on our new day and time.
What’s in your cup?
About Randy: I'm a husband to an angel and a father of five wonderful children. Ask my wife or children about me and they may tell you I'm a little goofy. I love to have fun. I've been know to speak in spoonerisms, or roonerspisms, depending on how you see things. I enjoy whistling and singing and often enjoy making up my own words to popular songs. I also get the cooking bug from time to time and get excited as I create what my kids affectionately call, "Randy's Risky Recipes." To date no one has gotten food poisoning and they've even enjoyed most of my culinary creations. Thank goodness taste buds get regenerated so quickly!
I authored, The Kindness Givers Formula 2.0: A Five-Step Guide to Reaching Hearts, Inspiring Change, and Healing the World Through Love. It includes an easy-to-learn formula for ingraining the intentional daily habit of kindness giving in your personal and professional life. It also has several true stories that illustrate how kindness, love's delivery agent, can change lives and bring hope and happiness to hearts and heal the world.

Friday Sep 22, 2023
What's your emotional temperature?
I realize the answer may vary on different days. Yet, most of us have a set point as our baseline. Next, consider how skillfully you can return to baseline when a triggering even pushes your buttons.
You won't want to miss this show! Four-time author and global conference speaker Dr. Patricia Baxter joins The Coffee Table!
Dr. Baxter says, "All emotions should be allowed in the workplace because we are people and we carry them with us. And we are capable of expressing them. What is important to remember is they don't all have to go to the nth degree. Make sure you have a strategy and a plan for when those emotions emerge."
Do you have a plan? Mireille Toulekima, Roz Jones, and I are ready to turn up the heat and uncover the importance of adjusting our emotional thermostat.

This week on The Coffee with Rhonda Show, we'll explore the current state of anti-work trends. We'll discuss actions companies can take to create anti-work, trend-resistant cultures where employees thrive.

Is Imposter Syndrome Holding You Back? - Epi 85
Friday Sep 15, 2023
Friday Sep 15, 2023
Have you ever felt like a fraud? Like at any minute, everyone is going to find out the truth about you?
If you answered yes, you are not alone. Research indicates that up to 70% of adults struggle with imposter syndrome at one time or another. Even those who have achieved great success struggle with it.
Did you know Maya Angelou shared her feelings about imposter syndrome? She often felt like a fraud, once saying, "I have written 11 books, but each time I think, 'uh oh, they’re going to find out now. I’ve run a game on everybody, and they’re going to find me out.'"
What can we do to overcome imposter syndrome, especially if it keeps us from showing up fully and authentically in our true power? Joining us this week at the coffee table is special guest Alli Rizacos! Roz Jones, Mireille Toulekima, and I are soooooo ready for this one!

Why Women Are Hurting Themselves By Not Sharing Their Achievements - Epi 83
Wednesday Sep 13, 2023
Wednesday Sep 13, 2023
Did you know that women share their success achievements much less than men?
An article on Medium by Kelly Reeves states, "Despite this, a LinkedIn study showed women are far less braggy about their successes than men. Their profiles are shorter, and “even when they had similar jobs and skill levels, women would still include 11% less of their skills than men on their profiles.”
Yet, in another article on Forbes, they state, "self-promotion is also an effective counterbalance to gender bias."
By not sharing their achievements, women may be handing their seats at the table to someone else.
Women are conditioned to be modest and humble, which feels like a contradiction to being loud and proud about what we have accomplished. This can be tough to overcome.
So, are you comfortable sharing your achievements? Why or why not?
Join us for the conversation as special guest Paulette Dale returns to the Coffee Table for Part 2 of our 2-part series.
During the show, we shared a video clip. Here is the link to the Sex and the City clip we played: https://youtu.be/ZBkoJLclZkk
